Hathway has completed 1 year of HD service. The new prices are as below
1) If you are a new subscriber, you need to pay Rs4500/-. This includes HD box and 1 year HD channels free(Current ones + any new HD channels which will be added in the future). You need to pay separately for the SD channels. Monthly charges for SD channels vary depending on your cable operator and the area.
2) Those who have completed 1 year HD with hathway, they will need to pay Rs2200/- for the one year of HD channels(Current ones + any new HD channels which will be added in the future). They need to pay separately for SD channels. Again this price varies depending on the cable operator and the area.

The bouquet of SD+HD channels which was available last year when they launched HD is not available now. Now, you need to pay separately for SD and HD channels. This is a good move as the price for SD+HD last year was Rs6500/- and cable operators were asking for more for SD channels.

very costly, in dth hd chs cost 30 percent of what hathway is charging if we take pricing for new customers and 50 per if we take pricing of hathway for old customers

Very bad move by hathway.I think this plan wont work out.I think new members may take this(still it is costly) but existing HD member wont give single paisaa for HD and separate charge for SD channels.hathway is no more pioneer in HD section even D2H is giving more HD channels in a comfortable price.If Hathway gives 50+ HD channels then may be this plan work it out if not.Just throw away Hathway HD box and go to D2h.

As per Hathway Helpline, the new HD STB price is now revised to 2299/- & HD annual package is available for Rs.2200/- incl STax.

But the sad part is, many channels are removed from hathway Bangalore. Count has reduced to about 198 from 209 SD channels.

In the Era of digitization, removal of channels can be fatal for MSOs. Once customer loose hope in them will never see comeback. There are very few people who returned back to digital cable after using DTH Service.

Its been more than an year now and I am getting This service is blocked(4) on many HD channels.

That would definitely be those channels who have not gt downlink rights in India and encrypted manually by Hathway.

Hope some expert clarifies on it.

Called Hathway. My one year subscription on HD has expired and hence the message. I need to pay them before I can see the HD channels. They never messaged me or there was no information as to HD channels will be blocked today.

While talking to customer care, they told me they will be adding SUN HD channels. Not sure how true.
