Breaking News Hyundai Venue crosses 42,000 unit sales mark, gets more than 75,000 bookings

yundai Motor India has sold 42,681 units of Venue since the launch of the compact SUV on May 21. The carmaker has also garnered more than 75,000 bookings for the compact SUV since the commencement of bookings on May 2. Hyundai Venue rivals against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. It is priced in the range of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

There are three powerful engine options available with Hyundai Venue. There is a new 1.0-litre Kappa T-GDI petrol engine that delivers 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an in-house developed automatic 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The other petrol option is the 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT engine and it makes 83 PS and 115 Nm of torque. This mill comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, there is the 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel powertrain that churns out 90 PS and 220 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Venue boasts of features like dark chrome front grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, projector fog lamps, LED tail lamps, roof rails, shark fin antenna and diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, one will come across features like three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, 20.32-cm touchscreen AVNT with HD display, wireless phone charger, air purifier, cruise control and electric sunroof. The compact SUV also gets the new-age BlueLink connectivity technology
