Tata Docomo Offers Free-Tablet Broadband Plans

Tata Docomo said today it has launched a new initiative to promote its high-speed wired broadband service across the country. As a part of the offering, customers who subscribe to the annual plans will get a tablet free!
Every subscriber to the 100 Mbps annual plan would get a tablet worth Rs 40,000 free whereas subscribers opting for other annual plan of Rs 1,099 or above per month, would get a free tablet worth Rs 5,000. This offer would be applicable till 30 September 2013.

A Tata Docomo release said the offer would give the increasingly hyper-connected consumers a great opportunity to grab one of the most aspired tablets in the market today for free. With the device, coupled with cost effective and high-speed wired broadband connection, consumers could access a plethora of services such as video-on-demand, online games and apps.

Announcing the launch, Prateek Pashine, President, SME Business, Tata Docomo, said, “Internet service is fast becoming the basic necessity of the consumers and we also believe that high-speed internet is an empowering tool in the hands of consumers. In a multi-device environment, our proposition of high-speed broadband along with an attractive tablet is an exciting proposition for the consumer”

For Tata Docomo, wired broadband is now a significant focus area, the release added.
