Well I have this STB model no HDC1000C, provided to me by FDI Digital (Hathway Digital) well in the system settings there is a option to check channel signal levels.
Well earlier I was getting good signals and there are 3 signal levels.
C/N: 30 db
BER: 1E-8
RF Level: -42 dbm
Now from this week I am getting
C/N: 22-23 db
BER: 1E-4
RF Level: -42 dbm
And because of this the pic/audio levels are low and pixelization is there and sometimes NO SIGNAL.
Well cable guy told me that some STB has different settings and different signal levels and also each STB varies from other.
My neighbour is getting very good signal and as my first signal level he is getting. Only I am getting low signal. Well all STB are same I think the LCO has poor knowledge.
Well some one told me that if splitters and taps are used the signal decreases. well is it because of that ???
Well can anyone tell me what should be the actual normal level for QAM64 in regardance to C/N. BER and RF level/
