Vodafone India has announced the launch of 4G services in parts of Bengaluru today. The company also said that the roll out will happen in phases and will be completed by March 2016.
Built on a fibre backhaul, Vodafone's 4G service in Bengaluru is supported by its 3.5G services. With this launch, Vodafone now offers 2G/3G/4G services in Bengaluru. The 4G is launched in 1,800Mhz band which the company won in March 2015 spectrum auction.
The launch in Bengaluru marks the completion of first phase of roll out of Vodafone 4G services in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi and NCR and Mumbai, the company said in a statement
