So, as per your words, they can't run HD and UHD services on same transponder. So, what's they compress existing HD channels into H. 265. If they do so they will not only able to accommodate HD and UHD channels but also make space for more HD channels with existing transponders.

h.265 has advantage of compressing more with minimum losses in bits and good quality, in short?

Right. Only problem is that this h265 decoding is too complex, requires powerfull processors which add up cost like 7k to 10k per STB.

Exactly brother....they won't waste an entire tp..... They have to accommodate both h264,h265 coding in single tp.... They Will work on it..... That's why the one reason that the launch is waiting.... The preview done last day is only a marketing technique to say first UHD DTH......

Absolutely, the sudden press conference and that too Just one day before Tata sky itself proves That they out signed them just to steal the launching 1st tag.

It would be a shock and bad experience for Tata Sky to lost this opportunity.

Also d2h is planning for IPO so may be tats a reason they grab the opportunity and become first DTH who launch UHD.
