Because channels ask them to do so to boost their subscription, viewership and TRP.
So, even after giving such great offer if you don't remain for one month, how will channel utilize that leverage

No they don't deactivate anything before locking period.
But many peoples in other forum said such thing that they drop it before 30 days tats the reason I am confused on on their Jingalala Offer too. If you owe any ala carte tat means you can't drop it before 30 days but many member claim that they not only drop the pack but again subscribe it as a Jingalala Offer.
I have dropped Kids pack few times within 1 week of subscribing in TS
They didn't allowed me to drop Everywhere TV and Ten pack before locking period.
