Yes for read it will show above and for delivered it will show below in I icon

Two tick mark means delivered.
Both tick marks turn blue means message read.


In Group, you've only one tick mark and it turns blue if everyone has read your message.

Reallly buggy update by whatsapp...latest version of whatsapp crashes and hangs on all iphones with ios 7 and 8.
It hangs even in iphone 6 plus.

In my iphone 4S too it hangs and freezes while scrolling and downloading images.. Really bad update..i'm installing back old version.
