Yes, 9XO plys latest music more so chances of catching any new song there is more. Although VH1 is very clever it keeps exclusive rights of certain songs when they r released with them, 9X0 gets it later but apart from that VH1 is more of an all round channel while 9XO is restricted to play only new songs
