I don't find any wrong deed by Tata Sky. Why would they disclose their technical things to customer who has nothing to take away from it. Why would they provide such info which are always kept confidential.

d2h too took almost 2-3 months to add channels after they got ST2.

but situation is very different here, as per satcom policy, to use foreign satellite, there is need of indian govt. But here things are different. Govt. NoD is given in already 2009 for Gsat 10. And any way for testing there is need of govt permission! [ all permission is already taken before designing of satellite].

Yes, but is it confirmed that no testing is going on ?? We need to get some info from insiders . Mat be trackers are not able to trace the testing although i know its almost impossible.

we cant take ISRO as an neg(-ve) point of view. why we are telling its all dead?

GSAT-8 :- There no operator is using GSAT-8 so its not in use.

GSAT-12:- Its also empty not used by any channel broadcaster & it was the replacement of old sats so they had launched this.
GSAT-10 :-1. Got some c band signals in the form of feed & some Ku also
2. There is chance that c band of gsat-10 willbe empty as gsat-12

and Totally Agree with this point ''I don't find any wrong deed by Tata Sky. Why would they disclose their technical things to customer who has nothing to take away from it. Why would they provide such info which are always kept confidential''

Any thing can happen in tech. But AFAIK Gsat 10 is under 24*7 hours on sat tracker eye. No any small update is miss out by our satellite expert [specially Mr. Bhat sir and Shubham]. Even in these days we find out more activity from 83E by hard work of our expert. The frequency which found by some one of other forum is given totally wrong [range 11902 H, any frequency number can be show by FTA box by changing LNB freq. To a specific number In box, so that news was totally wrong]

my intend is not to heart any one, As i am big follower of tata sky. They are giving amazing service but when i see my friend ditch tata sky, i feel other DTH are better. I wish all will be done in time, that i am too back on tata sky.

my guess is atht testing by isro is over and it ws done at 81.5 degree and as sat was moving for +-.08 degree daily so tracking did not happen while now tata sky has tps and there is some maintenance work on which is what i ws told and as soon as that is over tata sky would add the channels, plus tata sky has stil not completed work of removing splitters from aall houses of people having hd plus. all bcoz of poor planning by tata sky, had tata sky installed two wires for hd plus for each conn from beginning this delay would not have happened and had tata sky given mpeg 4 stbs to sd customers since 2006 or whenever mpeg4 stbs started in india then they could have easily shifted to mpeg4 and would have had immense space which no other operator even thought of, just imagine 24 tps in mpeg4. i am a honest person and have written to tata sky ceo and md clearly that their planning team has poor thinkers

Yes Agree, want to add one line:-

Maybe they r some where little back of other operator in channel count but we should give a big appreciation to tatasky that, with the limited source of space they are still in the competition from other operators and still they r adding HD & SD Channels Till now using old MPEG2 Technology.
