As i track every DTH very closely, so i would like to tell u tat right now too tata sky is flooded with complaints on Twitter, Facebook, online chat, cust care. All things are choked.
This is what happens when tata sky does not plan things properly and then make customers suffer. For all these years tata sky deliberately did nothing despite so many options, kept giving false excuses and kept customers in dark. Now this is god's way of telling them that what you sow, is what u reap. Hope they learn a lesson and in future plan things well.
Had they planned sat migration and increasing bandwidth since 2010-11 then all would have worked well. They could have easily migrated to Foreign Satellite without waiting for GSAT10 as they already had waited since 2009 for it and knew ISRO has not been able to deliver on the promise. plus they should have done MPEG4 migration simultaneously , in one visit both issues of changing alignment and MPEG4 STB swapping could have been addressed without causing any blackout or inconvenience but as usual they did nothing . They would have had enough space in 2013-14 itself if they thought properly.
Now they are making customers suffer with this V Polarity activation and again they will cause problem when they migrate to Asiasat. Also i do not think that they will go ahead with plan of Asiasat as already many customers r so so pissed off at them and some have even migrated to other DTH, they would not take any decision to again anger customers. So guys chances of Asiasat look bleak
I wish i was CEO of a DTH company, i have so many ideas in all fields and my DTH would have been number 1
