i dont get the role of skew in digital, but i had seen it in analog receivers which fine tunes the weak signal along with dots.

bro, satellite signals are em waves & its analog in nature after receiving by lnb(low noise block) the its downcoverted, converted in digital then decoding ,demod ,and then further process.....

Why do these bloody dth operators dont tell their subscribers about new channel addition in advance...ie also 10-25 days that on so and so date we will be launching so and so channels....I still remember our old cable wallah used to tell us a month before a new channel is coming....ridiculous privacy policy by dth operators....unnecessary playing with the feelings of their customers...
