Can someone help me? Since all this discussion of upgrade started my Tata Sky+HD manual update does not work. Previously for any number of time the manual update used to work.

Some satellite setting changed which preventing manual update or some setting automatically got changed in my STB not sure. Because I have not done anything.

So you mean to say you are not able to manually update your box has it happened before

U can try using manual method first method is when please wait initializing comes press back button 4 times and then press 2485 update will start or else use the second method ie when please wait initializing comes press back button 2 times and then press 2465 update will start try this 2 methods

Tried 2nd method and it does go to window where update scroll appears.But it stays at 0% all the time.

What is ur box now, is it showing aborted or idle bcoz few days ago i too faced the same problem....

Its showing idle to me and when i tried to update it manually, it started showing aborted.....

I think you can ask Tata Sky cc about that and once you activate your box again then I think you may get some offer maybe free service or long validity on your packs
