India's largest mobile-commerce platform Paytm in a goodwill gesture gifted its customer a laptop which was mistakenly delivered to him instead of a WiFi router.
Delhi-based Anuj Chauhan had placed an order on Paytm for a WiFi Router on April 10, but much to his surprise was delivered a Dell laptop by the company on April 16.
"On seeing that big box in the hands of the delivery boy, I told him that this wasn't my order, but he was so sure that it made me check the details on the box. Voila! Those were my details, name, phone number. I thought, maybe they have packed it bigger than expected ...you know, concerned for the safety of the product and all," Anuj Chauhan wrote on his Facebook page. (Read his entire post here)
Mr Chauhan, was however, charged only for the WiFi router, which was Rs.1,145, whereas the laptop was worth Rs. 30,000.
