Generally Action and super heroes movies runs well in India but old movies and other genres having cold response in India. So running Old movies in channels will have lower TRPs that is the reason even TCM channel also has been shutdown in India which was coming in TS.By the way any DTH can upscale any channel from SD to HD but they can not remasterd the content it is broadcasters work.an the thing is for SD channel they are not getting proper TRP then how they can start a HD channel in India??
You should ask this to those DTHs and the MGM channels.it is their mutual contract.I agree
But, At least, Dishtv should give it in upscaled HD form not a pure HD
& why MGM removed from all dth except tata sky & Dishtv?
Is it favourite channel of them?
I really have a doubt on it, saw couple of old movies in HD PQ was good not fine like nowhere days. Also couple of movies surely shooted at CinemaScope which having their own dimensions who could they become HD AR ?for HD viewing it doesn't bother where it is old content or new.remastred technology should be good then you can watch old movies also with good PQ with good sound.By the way MGM HD is a true HD.No upscaling is there.
AR doesn't have to do with HD.I really have a doubt on it, saw couple of old movies in HD PQ was good not fine like nowhere days. Also couple of movies surely shooted at CinemaScope which having their own dimensions who could they become HD AR ?
Surely but again people want everything in full screen and crystal clear PQ.AR doesn't have to do with HD.
Not all..only some technically challenged people would ask for it without knowing director's perspective.Surely but again people want everything in full screen and crystal clear PQ.
None of the DTH providers are providing same cyrstal clear PQ which they are actually getting from C band. They are compressing the channels to save the bandwidthSurely but again people want everything in full screen and crystal clear PQ.
Exactly my views are same on it regrading putting black bars on shooted contents. Not all..only some technically challenged people would ask for it without knowing director's perspective.
