Times Network’s strategy for rebranded channel MN+
Times Network has rebranded one of its HD offerings Movies Now Plus as MN+, demonstrating a trend that English movie channels have started beefing up their activities in the high-definition (HD) space. Movies Now Plus’ rebrand comes into effect from 1 July. With the tagline of ‘The Gold Class’, the rebranded channel will target the discerning viewer with a different schedule, as opposed to Movies Now which shows popular action and other genres. Movies Now Plus had a soft launch some months back. MN+ will cater to a more aspirational audience. “For English movie channels, HD is a right fit. There is focused attention in this space. It will attract upscale audiences,” a media analyst said.
