I think its an issue out of nothing. Karnad created another controversy in the country and unnecessary demand of Tipu Sultan Jayanti.

Although Tipu Sultan was a great warrior and fought against the British for our freedom but instead of declaring or making havoc of his Jayanti, its better people who follows him start celebrating delightfully on local level.

and if their intention is to make this Jayanti a Public Holiday then i will welcome this move which will give us one more day holiday

Tipu Sultan didn't fought for the Country but fought against Britishers to save his emperor.

We having warriors like Shivaji Maharaj, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rani Avanti Bai who had utter respect for other territories too which even Girish Karnad don't know about.
