Yes broNext 2 GSAT launches are not @ 83E, so not sure whether they have planned for any replacement satellite for Insat 4A as ISRO had claimed GSAT 10 to be replacement for Insat 4A
It was meant to be a replacement which is why when ISRO offered GSat10 to Tata Sky as replacement ,they rejected the offer. Also after that we saw articles that tata sky has also decided to move to a foreign satellite.
May after long discussions with tata sky, ISRO must have agreed to give Gsat10 as additional satellite and replace Insat 4A with a new sat later. May be it will be GSat17 or GSat18. Also there is a sat with vacant Ku band tp's at 55 degree east and 74 degree east, may be they will move it to 83 degree east later.
Anyways whatever they do is their headache. Here this situation is beneficial to both as tata sky saved millions of dollars which would have been needed had they migrated to foreign satellite as transponders on foreign sat r much more costly and then there would have been money required to realign all dishes to new position. Also ISRO gained as they would get revenue from tata sky which would not have been the case had they moved to a foreign sat.
So just do Balle Balle! Tata Sky is in an awesome mood to just keep adding channels
