Now it will be difficult for small channels to get on to DD Free Dish as they will need to bid for atleast 5 Cr to get a slot on DD Free Dish.

With 5 Cr, I guess they can easily get added on atleast 2 DTH platforms

I have interacted with distribution partner of Australia Network, DW-TV, TV5 Monde Asie in India and they told that they were negotiating with Tata Sky for many years but their high financial demand could not be afforded by us as most of these chs r public broadcasters of diff countries or funded by diff foreign governments.

But i agree International Chs will get much better audience by being on private dth platforms than being on DD Free Dish. But remember Dish TV viewers also get these chs and these chs must be targeting their subscribers too.

But now Tata Sky can add TV5 Monde Asie, Australia Plus, ITV Choice, NHK World News, CCTV News, France 24 English, DW-TV, Arirang TV as they have given chance to many smaller broadcasters too this year who can't pay much to tata sky
