If that's what is going to happen, it is better to shift to TS, for better SD quality and same number of HD channels, if not less..

No. Even if they add 8 new HD chs stil price would be around Rs. 650. They earn more money from carriage fee chs and hence don't pass all burden to customers. Also price hike will happen (if it happens) only in April

prices have been increased 4 times in last couple of years.
i think by feb end and before the budget prices will definitely be increased.
