Pakistan asks ICC, BCCI to move WT20 match with India out of Dharamsala
In a late night development on Tuesday, Pakistan has asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to shift the March 19 World Twenty20 match against India from Dharamsala to a different location due to security concerns.
The departure of the Pakistan team for India for the WT20 has also been put on hold by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
PCB chairman Shahryar Khan said the Interior Ministry will decide on the team's departure for India on Wednesday. "Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan after going through the briefing of the security delegation that is in India will let us know future plans and team's departure," he said.
The Pakistan team was due to depart at noon on Wednesday from Lahore for New Delhi but some players also confirmed they had been told this plan was now on hold.
