vd2h is providing dolby digital through hdmi in normal settopbox (not dvr)

in d2h hd stb model 2011 through hdmi they are providing dolby digital sound

if you are not getting it automatically then just call customercare ...after that your local d2h servicecentre guy will come with an usb pd and he will update your software

after that you can enjoy dolby through HDMI in vd2h normal settopbox (not DVR)

They cant go to each home with their representative for updation

They should update the software to all boxes automatically.

We are waiting this updation for long time as USB Recording Enabled feature is also included in it.

OTA is on the way. Till then manual updating is alternative.

One OTA happens, everyone will start getting Dolby via HDMI.

Press "Info"-->"Yellow Button"-->Change to Dolby Digital pressing Right Key.

Good news. But they should do it with OTA.

Otherwise it is impossible to do each and every home.

I have called the technician today. Lets see wat will happen, because there representative was telling that it is not possible to get dolby sound through HDMI cable. It will require a optical cable and port. But i dont have a optical port in my HD STB.

Press "Info"-->"Yellow Button"-->Change to Dolby Digital pressing Right Key.

i checked it by pressing the info+yellow button. Two sound mode was coming.

1.Hindi(1/2)
2.Dolby Digital

when i was selecting dolby mode and pressing OK. No sound was coming from my TV. That means I am not getting Dolby sound. Lets see whether the technician is able to fix it or not.
