Disclosing of Surgical strike was necessary for 2 reason.

1) It brings positive energy to the solders as well as people in India also gives warning to the Pakistan that such type of strike can carried out in near future.
2) Because of this, focus shifted from Kashmir to POK. Now Pakistan is more focused on cross border action rather than Kashmir.
