If you have subscribed HD then showcase will be available in HD also.

tata sky also showing these movies only exception is iron man but d2h giving this in only for 60 rupees for a month and tata sky giving 1 movie only for one day at rupees 75/- no logic thats why d2h cinema is far far better than ts showcase.Iron man 3 release date April 14,2013

Yes d2h is cost efficient. But point is if you haven't watch the movie in Theater from release date(almost 3-4 month back) then wait another 1 month all movies will be available in movie channels subscribed in your base pack. You don't need to subscribe anything further, neither Showcase nor D2h cinema.
By the way, how many times would you like to watch the same movie ? I prefer once.

I and my family members have their own schedule. I watch my recorded things in night while other members in day time. So, recording definitely helps. Also if I got busy in between any movie later on days . And if the movie is good I may watch it repeatedly too.
Like I watched Ranjhana and go goa gone twice. I am sure other too have similar watching pattern.
So, in no way Tata Sky costly Showcase is preferable should be subscribed. Either enjoy 12 showcase movies given free with annual recharge or better stay away from showcase movies.
Another thing we can do is write to Tata Sky to lower down the rate or introduce PPV addon like d2h cinema .

You didn't explain how movies in PPV are latest? I already post released dates of movies shown in Showcase or D2h cinema. These are not 3- 4 week old movies as you said, these are 3- 4 month old movies. This is why, I never watch any film in PPV. I prefer watch in INOX in weekend with my family members when any film is released.
If you can wait 3-4 month, wait another month movies will be automatically available in movie channels(like Z cinema,max, star gold etc) as we have so many hindi and english movie channels(almost 20+). No need to subscribe Showcase or D2h cinema. So I think Showcase or d2h cinema is useless until films are released in DTH along with theater. This is my point of view of-course.
I said because cc guy told me so of-course it was long time back.
