Video quality depends on bitrate. May be they are transmitting channels at same bitrate as earlier or higher(as you notice better video quality) and just change the compress method to MPEG4 though Mr Bhat has just confirmed channel not yet converted to MPEG4.

Bitrate is same. Noise ratio changed. So they have reduced noise from picture. That's good

Thats the reason, i m finding change in pic clarity!! Thanks Dipayan! Why can't they do the same for all other channels?? Sun TV, Sun Music, Vijay TV coming very worst for me. Earlier when i used, CRT TV, all the channels are of Super Quality. After changing to LCD TV, only HD channels and few MPEG4 channels are of good quality!!

I don't know but maybe because of bandwidth constrained or some other issue.

In my CRT(Sony Triniton Waga 3d Woofer) model with SD TATASKY audio and video quality is really very good for all sd channels & I love that but on the other hand Samgsung LED with TATASKY HD connection audio video quality is very good for HD channels, but for SD channels it is average at least not as good as CRT TV.

So the thumb rule is, SD channels produce best audio & video in CRT not in LED or LCD. This is because SD channels(576i) and LCD or LED Tv(720p or 1080p) have different resolution. But SD and CRT have same resolution 576i.

You mean HD feed of that channel ? Yea only approximately 40 HD channels but almost 800 SD channels present in India. I think time has not come to shift to LCD or LED from CRT(Unlike developed countries like US) as there are large no of SD channels present here.

Yeah. I feel CRT+SD is far more better than SD+LCD/LED or HD+LCD/LED

That's why I still love my Sony CRT. CRT has so many pros only cons is its Weight and Dimention. Weight doesn't matter to me, once placed in room every thing is ok. And the good thing is it cost far less than the LED/LCD one. Both in buying as well as monthly as no HD access fee needed.

Yes always the picture clarity in LCD or LED TVs will be bit noisy. But in a distance view it will look great.

2 things we have to look for clarity.

1. CMR- Clarity on Motion Ratio while fast action scenes
2. Small Text should be clearly visible & should be legible to read rather than distorted.
