HELP White lines on laptop screen

Hi,
My laptop has developed a white vertical line on my laptop screen. Till last night, it used to appear intermittently. Today it has stayed on. The line appears exactly at the location of left side hinge.
Is it a hardware issue or a software one? Will the screen need replacement?

Check with the display resolution and i think its a display problem

Checked. Still the same. Technician said screen needs replacement and it will cost Rs. 5500

I think get it replaced is a better option if your laptop keeps on for long time.

The laptop is just one and a half years old. There is only one single vertical line near left hinge.
Replacing the laptop is out of bounds right now. Guess getting the screen replaced is the only option.

Replacing the laptop.in just under one and a half years us something beyond my capacity. Getting the screen replaced is the only viable.option as of now.
Shall I wait for a couple of months to check if the issue spreads? If it is too much unbearable, I can consider replacing it. Right now it's only a single line at left hinge

You can continue to use. Vertical lines can signal 2 issue. 1st screen issue, 2nd cable issue. These lines won't spread quickly and you will be easily able to use it for atleast 6months.

Yes lines will not spread quickly and 1 single Will not make any viewing problem thus u can use it for more one two years
