Important Airtel IUC announcement.

There is no rumors.

Its a strategy of Airtel to remind all Jio subscribers that they are no more gonna enjoy unlimited calls.

But trust me this unlimited thing won't go long for Airtel too.

Soon they too will either increase price or decrease benefits.

But for time being jio seems costly affairs

Also compensating voice with data is absurd.

No extra charges for outgoing calls
While Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) continues charging 6 paise per minute as Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC), Airtel affirms free outgoing calls to other operators.

While some operators have made changes to their call charges, Airtel steps up to assure its customers of free outgoing calls. TRAI continues with its decision to charge 6 paise per minute on outgoing calls to other operators.

The original Airtel bundle plans include all charges, and thus, the users will incur no IUC charge and can make outgoing calls to other networks for free. Airtel's unlimited calling plans will consist of all the offers that the plan cites.

Those who wish to avail to these benefits, you can easily choose Airtel. Airtel's mobile number portability allows you to switch your operator without having to change your number. Once you port your number to Airtel, all you have to do is select a plan that best suits your need and enjoy all the perks offered. For existing Airtel's customers, you can continue recharging your phone with your regular plans.

After the new recharge system of needing to recharge for extending the incoming calls I have to recharge... Otherwise I was recharging the top up only...Rarely using data that too when I am outside my house or visiting town...

I don't talk much so I feel 10rs is enough and also many of my friends already have jio as secondary no so no issues in that.lets see what trai does after Dec 31st.

I am sure the decision is going to come in favour of Jio. TRAI may not completely eliminate the IUC charges and reduce it.

So Jio will lower that 6 paisa and then whole country gonna feel as if they have conquered the world and Jio will enjoy the sale.
