In 2015, Sony sought to fortify its position among the English-language channels. While Pix ramped up content, AXN refreshed in order to capitalise on appointment viewing. “The aim this year was to solidify our position as a top two player in the English movie and entertainment spaces. In 2013, there were three elements—invest in content, innovate to break clutter and improve brand perception, thus straddle across the Hollywood ecosystem in the country. We built on these elements further this year,” explained Sony Pictures Network executive VP, business head of Pix and AXN Saurabh Yagnik.
