Sad part is that one have to purchase wifi dongle worth Rs 1200 to enjoy the app. And for me Rs 1200 is quite high price to use this not so important feature.

With the latest update you can now use the device as a remote control for the set-top box directly without the need of a dongle! This remote sends commands to the set-top box over the home wifi network. Search for ‘Tata Sky Mobile’ on Google Play Store and Download the App for free. Version 2.0 of the android mobile app will include the following features:
