Banning is not a solution its a sympathy gainer. Start penalizing these broadcaster like 5 crore - 10 crores per day automatically these channels will shutdown.

It may erase presence of good & poor channels
So not good punishment
Channels should be banned for 1 month instead of 1 day instead

As I say indirectly it will vanish rather then blackout. Unnecessary this step created a negativism & fear, instead these news channels should ask to pay Rs. 10 crore or Rs. 15 crore on Army welfare fund which will be the true surgical strike among so called Secular Media

Banning causes losses to broadcaster and no one gains from it.

So definitely penalizing will be apt solution
