Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom operator replied to Reliance Jio’s Valentine’s day wishes by saying “same feels” as Jio had written “Happy Valentine’s day, with love from Jio” on Twitter where it tagged Airtel, Vodafone and Idea in its tweet.
Airtel wrote “Same feels @reliancejio! After all #HarEkFriendZarooriHotaHai @VodafoneIN @ideacellular.” The telco used its famous punch line ‘har ek friend zaroori hota hai’ with an evil smile emoticon to get back at Jio.
Sunil Mittal-run Airtel particularly tagged Vodafone and Idea Cellular in its tweet which made it even more interesting since Mukesh Ambani in October had said that the incumbent telcos were ‘ragging’ Jio. The two events are not directly related but are amusing to customers of all the engaged telcos.
Although the ongoing war of wits was initiated by Jio in the morning today, the scenario however looks intriguing as Vodafone and Idea are also expected to storm Twitter with their comebacks to Jio’s tweet.
