Akshay to judge dance reality show 'Dare To Dance'

After making a mark in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar ventured into television as a host with 'Masterchef India' and later was also a part of 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi' and now the actor is all set to turn judge for a dance reality show called 'Dare To Dance'.

This is not the first time that a Bollywood celebrity will be judging a reality show since Madhuri Dixit and Karan Johar have been judging Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa while Hrithik too was seen as judge in a dance reality show and so was Shilpa Shetty. However, this time around, we hear that Dare To Dance will not only showcase the dancing skills but the contestants will also be required to do some stunts as a part of the show.

Talking of contestants, 'Nach Baliye 6' winner Rithwik Dhanjani and Dance India Dance contestant and lead of the series Dil Dosti Dance, Kunwar Amar will be a part of the show. According to the show's format, it will have about 12-13 celebrities participating in it. Also unlike other dance shows that are shot in India, this one will be shot in South Africa.

It is being said that Akshay Kumar is already preparing for this six week shoot schedule that will commence on August 9. 'Dare To Dance' will go on air on Life Ok.
