Animals seem to enjoy a bigger star status on TV shows currently compared to the antagonists of the most popular serials.
While daily soaps earlier saw entries of vamps to spark up the entertainment quotient of the show, the makers now make use of VFX technologies to infuse life and drama to the on-going monotony. We have had many VFX driven shows like Ramanand Sagar's Mahabharat and Ramayan keeping the audience hooked during the weekends and the current mythological shows still continue to do so!
But the trend seems to grow now as fiction based television shows are also resorting to the same! Let's take a look at some of the most popular shows using animals as their USP gain strategy.
Crocodile in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus:
The crocodile-attack scene generated a lot of buzz in social media. The track took us straight to the memories of Bollywood movie, Khoon Bhari Maang featuring Rekha!
Tiger in Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum on &TV:
This story-line is straight out of the Bollywood movie Junoon. Cheap green-screen footage looking pathetic on television!
Mongoose in Naagin on Colors:
Mongoose does not look like a mutated rat but when Rajat Tokas transformed into an Ichadhaari Nevla' he looked like the product of a nuclear explosion.
Lion in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi on Colors:
Kaha gayi aashiqui? What has the show come down to...
