AXN HD is coming 3rd quarter of 2014

MUMBAI: Multi Screen Media (MSM) is gearing up to launch the high-definition version of its popular action-focused English entertainment channel AXN India within four months. The company has received the licence from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), and the channel will be launched soon. “We have got the licence and work is on. The HD channel should be on air in the next three/four months,” a source in the company said. MSM has also obtained a licence for SET One, a Korean content channel that MSM’s parent company Sony Pictures TV Networks Asia runs in other Asian markets. The launch of SET One, however, is some time away. “Currently, there is a lot of flux in the market. While the subscription revenue has not kicked in yet, the ad cap of 12 minutes has already squeezed the revenues. Moreover, channels in the English entertainment category have not been able to increase the ad rates. In such a scenario, we are evaluating multiple options.

great share by bhaskarkilli ...Disappointed to wait for another 3-4 months getting AXN HD in.
So chances are now after FIFA Wold cup 2014 only which going to end mid July2014. Guessing Diwali time now for AXN HD.

So PIX HD atleast will make move after IPL ending, i guess this scenario with above timeline.

There are no plans yet of launching the HD version of MSM’s other popular channel, SAB.

so what about PIX HD? it is not mentioned anywhere here and SET ONE is a korean channel which would find no subscribers as of now.

Only thing I understood by this article is MSM is not in a mood to launch their HD services.They want more revenue from HD channels and that is not possible in this present situation because 12min cab is already there.Sony SET they got license for future purpose but not now. at least it will take another 2-3 yrs.Now MAX HD is no way chances and PIX HD position in mid of the air.very disappointed news from MSM.

yeah that's the point....For People goodwill, hoping, all upcoming MSM-AXN HD channels should come under all HD BASE PACKS of dths...n that too only at 1st launching day

Infact, indiantelevision.com was the first one to report about AXN launching in HD and will launch by the end of the year.
