My SBI branch informed me that the branch timing will be changing from 8AM to 2PM for public dealing. Is it true for all the branches? This change is coming in effect from 1st Oct 2017

I heard to be Saturday off in banks which is yet to be implemented.
And 8 to 2 would be good for working people. We could go bank before going to office

rather they should work during weekends and take Tuesday and Wednesday off. That would make everyone life easier.

Yes. They won't work. But private banks work at places here.
Forex transactions will suffer a lot.
