BBC to launch Tamil TV news bulletins on Thanthi TV

BBC World Service is the first international broadcaster to offer Tamil-language TV content. Beginning 1 April, BBC’s Tamil TV news bulletins will be aired on Thanthi TV from Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm. The new TV programming adds to the BBC Tamil content available on radio, online via bbctamil.com and via mobile devices. BBC Tamil is part of BBC World Service. The BBC Tamil TV programme draws on the BBC’s global newsgathering presence across the world, covering politics, economy, business, entertainment, culture and human-interest stories.

I think BBC weekly news bulletin is telecasted on ETV news channels every sat/sun....as then TV18 owner Raghav Bahl was earlier associated with BBC.
So is any Thanti TV owner or editor associated with BBC in past which would have facilitated this arrangement.....?
