Two-and-half-year-old Yatharth Upadhyay has given a new lease of life to six others who were struggling to survive. The traffic in Bengaluru stood still when the police established a corridor to ferry his vital organs to Chennai.

Amit Upadhyay, father of heart donor, said that this was basically to make him live even after death and wanted to send a message to the society that death is not the full stop. Even after death we can contribute the society in this way.

He said, "He died at a very young age. He was a very bright child. I thought his life should not go in vain. One patient was there on the other bed who was around 12-13 years old. He was having some kidney ailment and his father was very poor and by looking at his pain I thought that it is good to donate his organs so that the other families should not go through the pain and trauma which I was going through."
