Brock Lesnar was suspended for one year after being tested positive for the banned substance hydroxyl-clomiphene.
In a shocking revelation by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, it was reported that the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar has suspended for one year. Lesnar was fined $250,000 owing to failed drug tests that were revealed post UFC 200. According to Shaun Al-Shatti of MMAFighting.com, it was evident that Brock was tested positive for hydroxyl-clomiphene, a banned substance that resulted in a temporary suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Brock Lesnar had competed at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt and scored a victory over the latter and improved his UFC record to 6-3. After Thursday’s revelation, this victory of Brock was cancelled and the match result was declared a no-contest. WWE has shocked everyone by allowing Lesnar to compete in UFC 200 back then.
Ever since his UFC victory over Hunt, Lesnar had been part of two matches in WWE- One against Randy Orton at SummerSlam and the other against the iconic Goldberg at Survivor Series. The match between this duo lasted only for 1:26 minutes and it took Goldberg only two Spears and a Jackhammer to bury the Beast. It was also officially confirmed that Brock Lesnar will be part of the Royal Rumble match along with Goldberg at the Alamodome in January.
Brock’s future with UFC is unclear but as far as the suspension goes, Brock could make his return by the summer of 2017, should he and the company reach an agreement.
