Vijay Amritsar’s Champions Tennis League, which kicks off its second edition on 23 November, is eyeing profitability by the fourth season. Speaking to Televisionpost.com, Second Serve CEO Arjun Rao said, “We believe that within 3-4 years, the franchises and the league will be on solid financial ground, but a lot of work needs to be done by everyone. Only with the league working closely with the team owners to deliver on franchise interests will there be any hope of financial recovery in this time frame.” He added that this is definitely not a short-term ‘windfall’ business proposition. “It is a serious business, requires focus, attention and dedication from everyone involved, and we believe that everything will be profitable by the end of the third season, or through the fourth season at the latest.”
