Visitors and hungry passengers at Chennai Central station now have a range of choices to grab a bite from. ‘Food Central’ has just opened next to the Higginbothams book shop on the station’s premises.
Opened by Ratna Café, in partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), the food court houses Dindigul Thalappakatti Biryani, Ganga Sweets, Tibbs Frankie and Madras Coffee House.
“We have roped in brands that offer quick food passengers can get on the go,” said Rajendra Gupta, managing partner, Ratna Café. While coffee will be available 24x7, the other outlets will close somewhere between 12.30 a.m. and 2.30 a.m., he said.
