ISL 2015: Chennaiyin FC captain Elano Blumer arrested for assaulting FC Goa co-owner
In a late night development, Goa police arrested Elano Blumer, captain of ISL winning team Chennaiyin FC, for allegedly assaulting co-owner of FC Goa team Dattaraj Salgaoncar during post-match celebrations.
"Salgaoncar has formally lodged a complaint with us and we have placed Elano under arrest," Margao police inspector CL Patil told PTI at midnight.
The incident occurred during celebrations on the ground after Chennaiyin defeated FC Goa in the final of the Indian Super League.
Srinivas Dempo, the second co-owner of Goa, who was present during the incident, said Elano came out of the team dugout and started making fun of FC Goa players.
