Networking major Cisco said that it has won more than 30 LTE deals with live deployments. Bharti Airtel is one of the main LTE customers in India.
Besides Bharti Airtel, Bell Canada and Verizon Wireless are some of the main LTE 4G customers.
Recently, Bharti Airtel, India's number telecom operator, rolled out TD-LTE services in Kolkata and Bangalore circles.
Companies such as Reliance Industries and Aircel are in the process of rolling out TD-LTE services.
"We are working with 4 telecom operators in India for their 3G business. When they move to LTE 4G, we hope to work with them for their roll outs," said Kelly Ahuja, senior vice president and general manager, Mobile Internet Technology Group, Cisco.
America, Asia Pacific, Middle East are strong focus areas for Cisco for spreading LTE business.
Cisco's main service provider customers include Tata, KDDI, SK Telecom, China Telecom, Verizon, AT&T, etc.
Cisco claims that its service provider business covers 1 billion subscribers footprint, while its small cell access points reach 13 million.
"Focus is growing on Internet of Things in the Asia Pacific region. 50 percent of global mobile revenue will be in Asia Pacific by 2015. Telecom operators are increasing data revenue. There is a significant growth in mobile data. Operators need to know how to monetize data growth," Ahuja added.
Recently, Cisco said worldwide mobile network traffic is expected to increase nearly 19-fold between 2011 and 2016.
