In their attempt to attract more rural viewers, Hindi general entertainment channels are launching original programming in the weekday band in the early primetime slots, which earlier aired repeats. Colors is also expanding its original programming. Its weekday fiction programming will commence at 6:30 pm from 25 May. On 25 May, the channel is launching a new show, ‘Thapki…Pyaar Ki’, that will air at 7 pm from Monday to Saturday. The existing show ‘Shastri Sisters’ will shift to the 6:30 pm slot on the channel.
