HELP Customer care threatening to cancel my subscription.

I am using ADTV from 2013 onwards and are not using the same from May 15th, 2018.


I am using Amazon firestick now and are relying on some paid IPTV services to watch TV channels. That's the main reason, for not using the ADTV. Now ADTV customer care is calling and threatening me to recharge immediately. Otherwise, they will terminate my account permanently.


My question is :


Are they allowed to do that?

We bought the Set-top box, and we can use it whenever we want. How can they force me to recharge and threaten?


I am looking for suggestion here on, what should I do here...

the box and dish is under rental agreement and properties of adtv and for some reasons say you are out of town and would recharge when the need arises.

Keep them engaged.

some reasons can be out of town
health emergency
tv burnt due to short circuit etc etc

and when you are finally through with Airtel Digital TV, tell them its lost and they can terminate

Normally if we don't recharge for some days they will call and give offers. I didn't hear threatening like this before.
