Breaking News D2H Cinema HD addition on Videocon d2h

I find even normal PPV chs like D2H Cinema or Showcase useless as they air new movies only a week or two earlier than when they r aired on TV channels, that too in HD. Why would one waste money on these PPV chs unless they are desperate and have lots of money to spare. Also instead of D2H Cinema HD , Videocon should add more important channels. We can watch movies in HD on HD TV chs

I still would prefer to have ppv but only in hd...few reasons...at times we miss recording of premiered movies or not everyone anyway would have recorder...but i would prefer hd ppv and monthly paid like d2h. Main benefit is repeat shows whi gives you full flexibility to record or watch as per yiur suitable timing. Now you are right when you say they show just one week before...that they need to work out but not sure how much they can because hd dvd itself is launched around that time when it starts coming on tv. And without hd dvd launch can they show, I am not sure.

HD DVD's have no co-relation with the movies on PPV. Each movies has a DVD Print right from the point when it has been fully made.. Also all these operators have deals with channels or production companies to show their movies on PPV channels. There are even producers like YRF or channels like sony which never have deals for such airing with DTH operators. It all depends on what the channel or producer wants. Also in Videocon d2h, movies further get delayed as they have to negotiate to get rights for lowest prices bcoz they have to show so many movies at just Rs. 60/month while the likes of tata sky air each movies at rate of Rs. 50 to 100 that too for a single day. Videocon d2h even negotiates deals for new channels at lowest rate which is why some channels arrive late but still come at affordable price

Agree with above points. However I have hardly noticed any different between the movies which tata sky shows in 75rs per view and d2h shows in 60rs per month...week of launch is also same...I have been observing this from last one year but may be just 1 or 2 instances they would have differed. Yes whenever I plan to watch oov I do realise that within 1 week it is being premiered on and that too in hd...d2h cinema sd in fact has very bad sound quality...background noise as if fan is blowing...
