i have dish tv HD connection. i connected the receiver with my tv thru hdmi cable and thru a optical cable to the Denon AVR which has the 5.1 speakers connected. thru the My account>help>guide settings>5.1 audio is selected as yes. I have a problem of HD channels , i don't hear any audio output especially 5.1 channels like movies now HD, star movies etc. I tried changing the audio output to 5.1 by using the green button as well. any suggestion pl to correct the problem.

First check whether Dish TV is giving Dolby sound via HDMI cable.I think Dish TV is providing.Please check the settings.If not do one thing.Please connect optical cable to direct Dish TV STB to your Denon AVR.Test it if it is giving dolby sound at least we can confirm that in your STB or ur AVR settings are correct.after that check HDMI cable settings and try it.But my advise is connect optical cable to direct Dish TV STB only.You get get perfect Dolby sound.
