Dolby Digital in Airtel DTH

I am new to Airtel, i am using HD+ box and my TV is SONY LED 412 B, i have connected it through HDMI cable . i have SONY DVD home theater DAV DZ350 and its connected to TV HDMI ( arc) . i cant here any 5.1 sound through home theater. i have changed the setting in user setting - audio in HD+ box as Dolby Digital for HDMI . Also there is one note under audio settings page " no audio control for Dolby settings".
any idea ? anybody facing same issue? or i need to purchase an Optical cable for Dolby ?

You can get the DD audio via ARC so no issues, just check in the home theater on the panel when you are watching the HD channel for the sound system.
The audio control cant be controled in HT receiver as only the STB output controls the volume.
