Dreaded " L " Shaped Adverts make debut on HD

When I took a HD connection in 2011 there was not a single advert on cricket HD channels .. Then slowly adverts started inbetween overs which was fine .. To my horror when I was seeing highlights today on star cricket HD this is what i see ...

Is this allowed ?? If yes, then what exactly are we paying a premium for ??

yes this is new way of advt.airtel making it popular recently for their free movie channel.
at beginning stage, companies not interest to give promo to HD channels,so they are not broadcasting ads. now the situation changed ,people made high quality ads.

If anyone watch F1 on espn HD? It is painful to watch advertising during race. L type ads are way better than that.
Did start world premiere HD show ads?

I guess as of now, Star Cricket HD has introdued L shaped ads in India v/s Australia Highlights program

I dont think so SWPHD has anywhere said that it is ad free channel. However HBO Defined and HBO Hits are ad free channel
