Filesharing service, Dropbox has announced that it has acquired the mobile email service, Mailbox for an undisclosed amount.
The company made the announcement via its blog, and said that the acquisition follows a number of meetings with the team at the email service provider.
"Like many of you, when we discovered Mailbox we fell in love -- it was simple, delightful, and beautifully engineered," Dropbox said in the blog post.
Mailbox developed a mobile app that organises emails on Apple devices. Currently access to the service is via a waiting list only.
