Chartered accountants in the country can very soon look forward to a television channel of their own that will cater to their needs. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is looking to launch its TV channel on 15 August. The ICAI will use the direct-to-home (DTH) platform of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to launch the channel. The content, mostly live, will reach a teleport/earth station through optical fibre connectivity. ICAI President K Raghu said that the free channel would benefit nearly 830,000 chartered accountants and commerce students.
